1. About MyRing

MyRing is an iOS application that helps you keep track of your contraceptive vaginal ring (e.g. NuvaRing or comparable products). The app records when you insert, remove and replace the ring, sends optional local reminders, and lets you keep a private diary of your cycle, mood, period strength, notes and appointments.

MyRing is a tracking and reminder tool. It is not a medical device, not a contraceptive itself, and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition.

2. Medical disclaimer

MyRing does not replace the advice of a gynecologist, pharmacist or any other qualified healthcare professional. Any decision about contraception, side effects, late insertion / removal, additional protection, emergency contraception or a pregnancy test must always be discussed with a medical professional.

The information shown in the app — including protection status, recommendations after a missed action, or reminders — is based on what you have entered and on general guidance for the contraceptive ring. It cannot account for your individual medical situation.

In case of doubt, always trust your doctor over the app.

3. License

You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use MyRing on Apple devices linked to your Apple ID. You may not:

• redistribute, sublicense, rent or lease the app;
• copy, modify or create derivative works of the app or its content;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the app, except where this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
• remove, alter or obscure proprietary notices in the app.

All rights not expressly granted to you remain with the developer.

4. User responsibility

Use of MyRing is at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer accepts no liability for:

• unintended pregnancies;
• health consequences or side effects, regardless of cause;
• missed reminders due to operating-system issues, device-level notification settings, „do not disturb“ or focus modes, low battery, airplane mode, app crashes or any other technical condition outside the app’s control;
• mistakes in data you have entered or in calculations derived from it;
• data loss caused by reinstallation, device migration, iCloud or Firebase service interruptions, or any other reason.

You are responsible for using your contraceptive ring as prescribed by your doctor and for following any instructions provided with the ring.

5. Privacy

MyRing stores your cycle data, diary entries and settings locally on your device. If you enable Cloud Backup, an encrypted copy is stored in your authenticated account on Google Firebase (Firestore). No data is shared with third parties for advertising, profiling or sale.

6. Backup and data integrity

Cloud Backup is offered as a convenience to recover your data after reinstalling the app or switching devices. The developer makes no warranty that backup data will always be available; service interruptions, account issues or third-party outages may make a restore impossible. If specific cycle data is medically important to you, please keep an additional record outside of the app.

7. Subscriptions (Premium membership)

MyRing offers an optional auto-renewing Premium subscription. The following billing periods are available:

• Monthly subscription — one month per billing cycle
• Yearly subscription — twelve months per billing cycle

The exact price is shown in the App Store immediately before you confirm the purchase, in your local currency and according to the pricing tier in effect in your region. Pricing may differ between countries and may be adjusted by the developer or Apple from time to time; in that case the new price will apply to renewals only after you have been informed in accordance with Apple’s rules.

Payment is charged to your iTunes Account at the confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same billing period at the then-current price unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in your iTunes Account Settings after purchase.

Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Refunds are governed exclusively by Apple’s policies; the developer cannot grant refunds outside of those.

8. Eligibility

MyRing is intended for users aged 13 or older. By using the app you confirm that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms (or, if you are a minor, that your legal guardian has consented).

9. Termination

These Terms remain in force as long as you use MyRing. You may terminate at any time by uninstalling the app from all your devices. The developer may terminate or restrict your access immediately if you breach these Terms or use the app in a way that risks harming other users or the service. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any subscription period already paid.

10. Changes to these Terms

The developer may update these Terms to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements or business operations. Material changes will be announced in the app or on langsoftware.de. Your continued use of MyRing after such a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence remain unaffected.
